Community Partner Feature: Centre for Sexuality

Mosaic PCN is a proud partner of Calgary’s Centre for Sexuality. With the vision of sexual well-being for all, the Centre for Sexuality has a wide array of judgement-free and evidence-based programming, training, and resources. They educate 10,000 young people each year and have offered training to 35,000 professionals since 2009.

Acting as a comprehensive resource for relationship and sexual education for youth and adults, the Centre for Sexuality offers school and community-based education, programs for young men, women, and 2SLGBTQ+ youth, adults, and their families, and short-term counselling through a registered social worker.

Additionally, you can find information about topics such as consent, birth control, STIs, sexual health for people with disabilities, seniors, and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals on their website. Last year, Mosaic collaborated with the Centre for Sexuality to offer Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training to staff. These workshops covered topics such as Inclusive Clinical Practices, Creating a Culture of Respect for Gender and Sexual Diversity, and Sexual Health and Wellness. We are looking forward to collaborating with the Centre for Sexuality this coming fall to offer more inclusive education to Mosaic employees.
