Community Partner Spotlight: Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA)

This month, Mosaic PCN would like to recognize our community partner, the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA). CIWA is a culturally diverse settlement agency that focuses on the unique concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families. They offer programs and services in the areas of settlement and integration, literacy and language training, employment support and bridging programs, family violence, parenting, individual counselling, in-home support, civic engagement, health, housing, and community development.

Mosaic and CIWA have partnered to promote programs and services for patients and their families. We would like to recognize CIWA this month as a part of International Women’s Day (IWD), happening on March 8, 2024. IWD’s mission related to health care is to assist women to be in a position of power to make informed decisions about their health.
